About Ego Reflection

Ego Reflection (ER) is a feminist led community-based organization that was founded in 2018 and formally registered by the Ministry of Labour in 2021. ER focuses on the human rights and mental health rights of girls and womxn, and seeks to address human rights violations associated with mental illnesses of girls and womxn in the western region in Kenya.




Methodologies used in addressing human right and mental health rights are transformational and community-based. ER also focuses on gender eqaulity and engages the community through partnerships and linkages schools, key stakeholders and the community by engaging them in sensitization and capacity building dialogues on advocating for human rights and intergrated mental health services for girls and womxn with justice and fairness. This has helped increase commitment and open mindedness in seeking early interventions and acqusition of life skills to address human right abuses and harmful cultures ER engages the community through partnerships and linkages with schools and communities by engaging them in sensitization and capacity building dialogues on advocating for integrated mental health and wellness services in safe spaces without discrimination.

Our Goal

Reduce stigma associated with mental health and wellbeing, and increase chances for early intervention especially by girls and women.

ER envisions a society that enjoys their human rights and a state of mental health for all.

To improve the community’s understanding of the connection between human rights and its influence on mental health of girls and womxn.
